Plain explanations of everything you need to know before and after going solar.
Panels turn sunlight into DC electricity. The inverter converts it to AC for your home. Your home uses solar first and takes the rest from the grid.
kWp is the size of a system under standard test sunlight. In central Saudi Arabia, 1 kWp typically makes around 1,700–2,000 kWh a year.
Solar lowers the energy you buy from the grid. Because tariffs are tiered, savings are not simply "production × price". Wahaj models your bill month by month.
Solar you use directly saves the full tariff. Surplus sent to the grid may earn a credit on later bills under the current rules. Using more solar at home usually beats exporting.
Two warranties: product (defects, often 12–15 years) and performance (output stays above a stated level for 25–30 years). Read both.
Inverters usually carry 5–12 years. Many systems need one inverter replacement during their life; our cashflow includes it.
Dust blocks sunlight. In dusty seasons output can drop noticeably between cleanings. We recommend cleaning based on performance, time and conditions, not just the calendar.
Survey, design approval, material delivery, mounting, panels, cabling, inverter, testing, inspection, commissioning, handover. You see each step with photos.
Panels produce voltage whenever there is light. Never open junction boxes or the inverter. Report burning smells, sparks or damaged cables immediately.
A battery stores midday surplus for the evening and can back up essential loads. With low residential tariffs it often does not pay back on savings alone.
Payback is the years until savings repay the investment. Look at the 20-year net benefit too, and at conservative and optimized scenarios, not just one number.
